Be inspired

Each weekend when we have our seminar class, the professor gives us an hour to journal about anything we desire to write about. During this time I find that I get the most of out journaling when I use it as a time to journal my prayers. It is so powerful for me to do this and I am not sure why I don't make more time for it. I am now making it my goal to at least journal my prayers a few times a week.

Also during our seminar one of the speakers reference a quote by Mother Theresa. I have hear this quote before, but for some reason it really struck me this weekend. It really was just a good reminder for what our motivation in life should be--GOD.

Lastly, I have been trying to make more of an effort to read my bible lately. It is such a good source of encouragement and focus for my life. During my readings this morning, I came across the verse below.

One more week of class and then finals! WOO!!

Strength

"We don't have to wait to overcome our weaknesses, complete the ten point improvement plan, and figure everything out. The strength we already have is all the strength we need. Because we have a limitless God within us who loves us- AS IS. And he promises to stick by us- ALL THE WAY."-Holley Gerth

A new hobby

I've decided that I am going to start making my own inspirational photo quotes (even with my own photos)!

Never noticed

Yesterday I went on a walk with my brother around campus. He was asking me about the structure below and I told him I didn't really know anything about it.

As we started walking around it, I noticed there were quotes engraved all around it. Every cement bench had a quote and then the structure itseslf was covered in quotes. They were mostly about injustice and coming together as a society. This makes sense since it is the Martin Luther King Jr (MLK) Commons.

"NOW THE JUDGEMENT OF GOD IS UPON US AND WE MUST
EITHER LEARN TO LIVE TOGETHER AS BROTHERS OR
WE ARE ALL GOING TO PERISH TOGETHER AS FOOLS."

"HATRED PARALYZES LIFE, LOVE RELEASES IT, HATRED
CONFUSES LIFE, LOVER HARMINIZES IT, HATRED
DARKENS LIFE, LOVE ILLUMINES IT."

I guess this teaches us that there is beauty and inspriation everywhere. We just have to take the time to look for it and notice the details.

Made my night!

This basically sums up my life for the past year and a half.
Oh and its HILARIOUS (if you're a nursing student or are friends with a nursing student)!
